Les Misérables

Today my friend Jinni and I went to the cinema. We watched an excellent movie which was called Les Misérables. The auditorium was full due to the fact that the tickets were cheap. It was a long and sad story, but I really liked it! It was kind of girly movie where you want to cry.
Basically, it is a French historical novel by Victor Hugo, first published in 1862. It is considered one of the greatest novels of the nineteenth century.
Plot.
It was the beginning of the nineteenth century. France was on the eve of a revolution.
Ex-convict Jean Valjean was an outcast who was angry at humanity after his 19-year sentence. He met a Catholic bishop who changed his life. The bishop, of course, treated him as a person who deserved respect. When Valjean stole his silverware and candlesticks, the bishop forgave him and did not report him to the authorities. He was the first the man who was kind to him. Valjean was so shocked that he abruptly changed his life. Under a false name, Jean Valjean founded a factory that made small articles from black glass.
After making a mistake, Jean Valjean became wanted by French police which forced him into hiding. Parisian police inspector Javert spent his whole life trying to catch Valjean.
One day, Jean Valjean met a woman. Her name was Fantine. He believed he was responsible for her fate after her death. The only person that was close to him was her daughter Cosette. Jean Valjean was ready for anything for the happiness of girl.

How I begin my day.

Recently, we bought a new coffee machine. It is awesome I really like it. Every morning I wake up and make myself a nice cup of coffee.
First of all, I take coffee beans and grind them in a coffee grinder. That way, my coffee is always fresh.
Next, I put my ground coffee in a portafilter and press it well with a tamper.
My coffee machine is special it can make milk foam automatically. I only have to choose what type of coffee I want. It can make espresso, cappuccino and caffe macchiato. I like the last one.
I just push the right button, wait a few seconds, and it is ready. Also, I prefer to add some cinnamon to my coffee. Enjoy!

Tiramisu

Ingredients

4 eggs (or 18 quail eggs)
100 g of sugar
500g mascarpone
250 g Savoyardy cookies (about 34 pieces)
350 ml of coffee (instant or brewed)
cocoa powder
2-3 tablespoons wine "Marsala" (or any other), or rum, liqueur, brandy, cognac - on request.

Preparation

This is a popular Italian dessert. It is delicate, airy as a cloud! In the classic recipe, "Tiramisu" uses chicken eggs. If you are afraid to use raw eggs, you can replace them with quail eggs (they are not exposed to salmonella).

Separate the whites from the yolks.
Yolks with sugar.

Add mascarpone and mix with a spoon or spatula.

Whites whipped into a solid foam.

Add yolk and curd and mix gently. It is better to get stir with wooden spoon slowly, so that the cream does not become liquid.

Sticks dipped in cold coffee.
Dip sticks quickly, so they are not soaked.
Prepare the coffee any way you like (I added 350 mL or 4 tsp coffee).
Optionally, you can add wine, rum, liqueur, brandy or cognac. I usually do not add any.

In the bakeware (I used a bakeware size 17X25 cm) firmly put sticks, soaked in coffee.

To put on the sticks half the cream, smooth.

Again put on cream sticks, soaked in coffee.

Sticks to lay out the remaining cream, smooth.
Refrigerate for 5-6 hours.

Then sprinkle on the cocoa through a sieve.

Cut into portions.
You must be very careful tasting , because the dessert is very delicate.
Enjoy your meal.

Email to a friend who will be visiting me in February with advice on winter driving in Ontario.

Hi my dear friend! I am very glad you came to visit me in February. I know you are going to drive your car. Be careful, due to snowy weather. February in Canada usually is the most snowy month. Expected snowy winter. Before your trip check your driving kit. It should include booster cables, extra footwear, and energy food. I know you live not too far, in Ottawa, but you should do it, because of your safety. And don't forget about  extra gas line antifreeze or matches in your car. I give you contacts just in case:
Call 1-888-310-1122 for an-emergencies.
Call 511 for check weather conditions.
